Westbound Winter
Beginning of January I traveled west to see sights, hear sounds, and breath air that could be anything other than those of New York. It's too distracting to read a book in that city, so I decided to take an extended vacation and along the way I've seen some amazing things.
Since I haven't been able to make jewelry during my travels, I've invested a lot of time in looking at what other jewelers are making.
Esqueleto in Oakland
Paxton Gate in San Francisco
Atomic Garden in Oakland
Sword + Fern in Portland
Gravel and Gold

CRAVING..............
stacked firewood
worn leather
chopped beets
clean hair
dark wood
lukewarm coffee
hot tea
spiked cider
piled blankets
large prints
filled bookshelves
wool socks
patterned rugs
tall ladders
brown, black, and every shade boots
hovering rain
framed photos
oversized sweaters
natural light
colorful tiles
mason jars
and the smell of something baking...where you're still wondering what it could be
that's all I got for now....more wants posing as needs to come I'm sure of it.

Little Cabin Fever
Since living in New York City where living in a limited space isn't so much of an option I've been thinking a lot of tiny places by choice. Check out these beautiful little spaces!

Tennessee me in Brooklyn
I moved into my Brooklyn apartment and I can't stop singing this song...
the two don't add up, but it equals something good.

The World Didn't End
I'm choosing to believe the new year began on the january 2nd. I got a place to live, work slowed down, ate red meat, and I finally witnessed someone openly pissing all over the subway (what I believed until this moment to be an NYC myth).
Champagne rained from my ceiling upon entering 2012...not enough for an umbrella or even a mouthful...but I found it a lovely way to begin the Mayan apocalypse.
